Vino Bianco "Barat 2020" Iuli
Barat 2020 from Cascina Iuli is the result of Fabrizio Iuli’s passion for forgotten grape varieties capable of expressing the truest soul of Monferrato. It comes from a historic local white grape, cultivated on calcareous and clay-rich soils at 250 meters above sea level, where the microclimate and soil give the wine its distinctive minerality and freshness.
Fermentation takes place spontaneously with indigenous yeasts in small concrete tanks, with no temperature control and without clarification or filtration. The wine remains on the fine lees to gain depth and texture before bottling. The result is a lively, pure and saline white, with aromas of white flowers, citrus peel and chalky minerality, offering both precision and character.
“Barat” represents Cascina Iuli’s first white wine, a bold and thoughtful interpretation of a nearly forgotten variety. It embodies authentic craftsmanship, deep connection to the land, and a contemporary vision of Piedmont’s winemaking heritage.
