Apremont 2024 Domaine Les 13 Lunes
The Apremont 2024 from Domaine Les 13 Lunes originates in the southern part of the Savoie wine region, within one of its most emblematic and historic crus. Here, the indigenous grape variety Jacquère finds one of its most authentic expressions, shaped by a cool climate and mountain-influenced conditions that naturally favour freshness, tension and minerality.
The vineyards are planted at approximately 450 metres above sea level, with an east-facing exposure that captures the gentle morning sun. This orientation, combined with a cool alpine climate, ensures slow and balanced ripening, preserving acidity and aromatic precision. The soils are ancient in origin, formed from historical gravel deposits with a complex clay-limestone composition, which contributes significantly to the wine’s linear structure and mineral backbone.
Harvest is carried out entirely by hand, with careful selection of the grapes. In the cellar, the fruit undergoes a direct pneumatic pressing of around four hours, followed by settling for 12 to 48 hours depending on the vintage conditions. Fermentation occurs spontaneously in temperature-controlled vats, with malolactic fermentation taking place at approximately 17°C.
The wine is then aged for around seven months in stainless steel tanks on its fine lees, using indigenous yeasts to enhance texture, depth and balance while preserving the natural vibrancy of the Jacquère grape. Bottling is carried out with sterile filtration, maintaining clarity and precision.
In the glass, it shows a bright pale straw colour with luminous reflections. The bouquet is clean and expressive, opening with white flowers, fresh citrus, green apple and crisp pear, layered with subtle notes of wet stone and chalk that underline its mineral identity.
On the palate, it is direct, vertical and saline, with an immediate sense of freshness and energy. The structure is lean yet not simple, supported by vibrant acidity that drives the wine towards a clean, precise and elegant finish. It is a wine defined by transparency and drinkability, while still reflecting the depth of its alpine terroir.
Perfect as an aperitif, it pairs naturally with Savoyard specialties, lake and sea fish, delicate white meats and fresh cheeses, offering an authentic and immediate expression of the French Alpine mountains.
