Trousseau “Singulier” 2022
Trousseau “Singulier” 2022 by Domaine André et Mireille Tissot is a pure expression of Jura terroir, crafted with precision and passion by Stéphane and Bénédicte Tissot. The wine comes from five different vineyard plots totaling 2.8 hectares, all with southern and western exposure and certified biodynamic (Demeter).
Harvest is carried out by hand, followed by manual destemming, a one-month maceration on the skins, and spontaneous fermentation in conical oak vats. The wine is then aged for 12 months in 600-liter demi-muids, with only 10% new oak, to preserve the grape’s integrity. It is bottled unfiltered and unfined, with only minimal sulfur added.
In the glass, it shows a light ruby hue. The bouquet is vibrant, with cherry, blackcurrant, herbal and spicy notes. On the palate, it is fresh, juicy, and well-balanced, with polished tannins and a lively acidity that makes it exceptionally drinkable. A wine of great authenticity and typicity, embodying the singular charm of the Jura.
Perfect with roast meats, lamb, baked pasta, or light game dishes. Serve at around 16°
