Savoie Pinot Noir 2019 Domaine Dupasquier
This Savoie Pinot Noir 2019, like all Domaine Dupasquier red wines, is extraordinarily mature compared to traditional Savoie wines. As its name suggests, it is a red wine made from 100% Pinot Noir grown at high altitude with good sun exposure, which gives it maturity and allows it to retain a certain amount of freshness.
Harvesting is done by hand, as is the selection of the grapes, followed by spontaneous fermentation using only indigenous yeasts, and finally ageing in large, old, neutral barrels for a year, plus another period in the bottle.
This Pinot Noie from Domaine Dupasquier has a not too intense ruby red colour, while the nose expresses the typical aromas of Pinot Noir such as red fruits (strawberry, raspberry and blueberry), together with light notes of spices. The taste is balanced and full-bodied.
