Cascina Iuli is the life project of Fabrizio Iuli, a passionate artisan winemaker from Montaldo di Cerrina, in the hills of Lower Monferrato. Rooted in tradition yet guided by intuition, Fabrizio produces wines that reflect the soul of his land — mineral, vibrant, and effortlessly drinkable. His philosophy is simple yet profound: to create wines that are fresh, elegant, and authentic, born from respect for the soil and the rhythm of nature.
The estate’s vineyards, spread across Cerrina Monferrato, Odalengo Grande, Castelletto Merli, and Ponzano, lie in highly suitable micro-areas surrounded by orchards and woods. The white calcareous-clay soils lend a unique minerality and tension to the wines. Alongside classic Piedmontese grapes like Barbera, Nebbiolo, and Grignolino, Fabrizio has revived ancient native varieties such as Slarina and Baratuciat, giving them new life and identity.
Vines of different ages — some nearly a century old — yield low quantities but highly concentrated and aromatic grapes. The wines ferment spontaneously with indigenous yeasts in cement vats, age in large oak barrels, and are neither fined nor filtered. The result is a range of pure, expressive, and territorial wines, full of energy and character.
From the structured Barabba, to the elegant Barat, and the easy-drinking Umberta, each bottle from Cascina Iuli tells a story of craftsmanship, emotion, and balance — wines that are easy to love but never ordinary.
