Eleva is located in the heart of Valpolicella, in the picturesque La Palà area of Sant’Ambrogio, on a hill renowned as the “golden basin,” where limestone soils, optimal sun exposure, and a unique microclimate create perfect conditions for producing exceptional wines. The estate covers five hectares of vineyards and olive groves, arranged on fourteen terraces supported by historic dry-stone walls, intersected by paths and stone slabs, reflecting a landscape shaped by human care in harmony with nature. Every detail, from the hillside selection to vineyard layout, highlights the dedication and love for this extraordinary wine region.

The story of Eleva is inseparable from the dream of Franca Maculan, a highly cultured and sensitive woman, co-founder of the national association Le Donne del Vino. In 1989, Franca discovered this hillside and immediately fell in love, recognizing its potential to produce outstanding Valpolicella wines. She purchased the estate, planted new vineyards, and began revitalizing the property. Unfortunately, illness prevented her from seeing her dream realized, but she entrusted it to a charitable organization, which assigned its management to oenologist Raffaella Veroli and entrepreneur Davide Gaeta. From this collaboration, Eleva was born, a wine estate dedicated to carrying forward Franca’s vision of autonomy, excellence, and love for the Valpolicella territory.

Raffaella Veroli, with her background in Natural Sciences, Enology, and Viticulture, embodies Eleva’s spirit: a determined and passionate woman transforming knowledge into hands-on practice, meticulously tending the vineyards and crafting unique blends such as Amarone Piovesole, Recioto Tomo XIV, and Valpolicella Classico Fralibri. Davide Gaeta, a professor of Economics at the University of Verona, provides strategic and managerial expertise, making Eleva a model of an innovative winery where every collaborator contributes with autonomy while maintaining the highest standards of quality.
