Jermann Picolit 2015
The Jermann Picolit 2015 is an extraordinary sweet wine made entirely from Picolit grapes, naturally dried to enhance aromatic complexity and sugar concentration. Historically, Picolit was used in Tunina and Capo Martino blends, but this vintage is produced in pure form.
The grapes grow on hilly vineyards with marl and sandstone soils of the flysch formation from the Eocene era, called “ponca,” which imparts minerality and finesse. The wine is bottled in 0.375 L bottles with a Stelvin screw cap to preserve its delicate qualities.
The nose offers dried fruit, honey, yellow flowers, and candied citrus aromas, while the palate is sweet, harmonious, refined, and persistent, with almond and honey notes leading to a long, enveloping finish. Perfect as a meditation wine or paired with dry pastries, foie gras, or aged cheeses.
