Müller-Thurgau “Praepositus” 2018 is a top-tier alpine white wine crafted by the historic Abbazia di Novacella in South Tyrol. Sourced from high-altitude vineyards up to 900 meters a.s.l., this wine captures the pristine, mineral-driven character of the Isarco Valley, one of the coolest and most distinctive winegrowing areas in Italy.
Compared to the classic version, the Praepositus line is selected from the best grapes and is vinified to highlight greater depth, age-worthiness, and aromatic complexity. Fermented and aged in stainless steel on fine lees, this wine develops texture and finesse without sacrificing its vibrant freshness.
In the glass, it shines with a bright straw yellow color. The nose reveals white flowers, green apple, citrus peel, mountain herbs, and subtle flinty notes. On the palate, it is lively and linear, with a well-defined mineral core and long, zesty finish. Ideal with smoked fish, herbed risottos, shellfish, and creamy cheeses.
