Marsannay P'tite Grumotte 2019 Jean Fournier
The 2019 Marsannay P'tite Grumotte is a red wine from Burgundy produced by Domaine Jean Fournier, now run by Jean's son Laurent Fournier, a talented and passionate winemaker who produces wines with authenticity in a non-interventionist style.
This label was created in 2011 on the occasion of the birth of Laurent's daughter, and is made from a special selection of millerandage grapes that were frozen the previous year (these are grapes that never developed but contain a concentrate of sugar and aromatics).
The nose could easily be mistaken for a Gamay if one were to drink it blind, it is very similar to a Moulin-à-Vent. The sip is well balanced with fruits like blueberry and red cherry, smooth texture and an intense black olive finish.
DENOMINATION: Marsannay AOC
