The Lugana Superiore DOC 2018 Ca’ Lojera represents the most structured and refined expression of the Lake Garda terroir. Made exclusively from Turbiana grapes (Trebbiano di Lugana), it showcases the great potential of this variety when handled with patience and vision.
The vineyards, located around Sirmione, grow on white clay soils rich in minerals, which lend freshness and a distinctive sapid note to the wine. After a gentle pressing, fermentation takes place in oak barrels, where regular bâtonnage enhances both texture and aromatic complexity. The wine then matures for 24 months in large 25-hectoliter oak casks, achieving remarkable balance and depth.
In the glass, it shines with a straw-yellow color and golden reflections. The bouquet is intense and layered, offering ripe yellow fruit, citrus peel, broom flowers, star anise, and delicate mineral and spicy tones with subtle hints of hydrocarbon and vanilla. The palate is rich, velvety, and flavorful, with a fine balance between body, minerality, and freshness. The finish is long, slightly dry, and extremely elegant.
