La Cuvée des Gueux Blanc 2025 Adrien Berlioz
With La Cuvée des Gueux Blanc 2025, Adrien Berlioz delivers one of the most faithful expressions of Jacquère, the iconic white grape of Savoie. Produced in the vineyards surrounding Chignin, this wine perfectly reflects the estate’s philosophy: allowing terroir to speak through meticulous vineyard work and minimal intervention in the cellar.
The vineyards are certified organic and farmed according to biodynamic principles, with high planting density and naturally low yields that favour concentration and balance. Vineyard management relies exclusively on natural preparations, herbal infusions and carefully limited treatments, preserving soil vitality and biodiversity throughout the growing season.
Harvesting is carried out entirely by hand, with grapes transported in small crates to preserve their integrity. After gentle direct pressing protected from oxygen, the juice settles naturally before undergoing spontaneous fermentation with indigenous yeasts. Ageing takes place exclusively in stainless steel tanks, maintaining the grape’s natural freshness, purity and mineral expression.
The wine displays a bright straw-yellow colour. The nose is elegant and expressive, revealing white flowers, lemon zest, fresh citrus, vineyard peach and subtle flinty notes, complemented by hints of lemon balm and delicate saline nuances that evoke Savoie’s limestone soils.
On the palate it is precise, vibrant and beautifully chiselled, driven by lively acidity and a pronounced mineral backbone. The saline character adds depth and persistence, leading to a long, clean and remarkably focused finish.
La Cuvée des Gueux Blanc 2025 is a highly gastronomic Alpine white wine, pairing beautifully with Savoyard fondue, grilled scallops, shellfish, spicy prawns and seafood dishes, while also making an outstanding aperitif for lovers of mineral-driven wines.
