Saumur-Champigny Rouge 2022 – Elegance and Precision
Sourced from organically farmed vineyards on sand, silt and clay soils, this Saumur-Champigny is vinified with a minimal-intervention philosophy. Fermentation takes place in tapered wooden vats with no added sulfur, followed by 18 months of ageing in a mix of used barriques (from legendary estates such as Clos Rougeard and Château Haut-Brion) and large vats.
The result is an exceptionally elegant wine with vibrant red fruit, floral notes, subtle spice and a refined, silky texture. A benchmark Cabernet Franc, often compared to the finest Clos Rougeard bottlings.
Saumur “Les Pouches” 2020 – Structure and Depth
Les Pouches comes from a vineyard planted on limestone and sandy-loam soils, with vines of 20 to over 70 years old. Fermented without stems in wooden and concrete vats, and aged for 24 months in French oak barrels (new to third use), this is a deeper, more structured expression of Cabernet Franc.
It offers intense aromas of red berries, black pepper, tobacco and liquorice, with velvety tannins and a long, mineral finish.
