La Bruja de Rozas 2023 Comando G
La Bruja de Rozas 2023 is a Spanish red wine produced using natural methods by the Comando G winery. Comando G. is a young winery in Madrid founded with the idea of giving a different look to the Granache grape by producing wines from old vines, hence the name where "G" stands for Grenache. La Bruja de Rozas is a red wine made from 100% Grenache grapes from three small vineyards with vines between 50 and 90 years old, growing on mainly granite and sandy soil at an altitude of 800-900 metres above sea level.
This altitude allows for balanced ripening and very fresh wines. Comando G cultivates according to biodynamic principles, completely respecting the environment. The grapes from each vineyard are fermented separately with local yeasts from the vineyards, after which the wine is aged for 7 months in 500-litre French wood vats.
Comando G's Bruja de Rozas 2021 is a fresh and characterful version of Grenache, delivering citrusy orange peel aromas accompanied by red fruits on the nose and a subtle lactic and mineral note. The palate is smooth and elegant. A very fresh, delicate and versatile wine.
