Langhe Nebbiolo 2023 Castrum Roche
The Langhe Nebbiolo 2023 from Castrum Roche is a true reflection of the unique terroir of La Morra. The vineyards, cultivated without pesticides and following sustainable practices, thrive in rich, well-drained soils that impart depth and structure to the Nebbiolo grapes. The east and southeast exposure ensures optimal ripening, enhancing the wine’s intensity and character.
Vinification takes place in stainless steel, without the use of selected yeasts, preserving the authentic qualities of the grapes and the terroir. The wine rests in stainless steel for several months before bottling, maintaining its freshness and fruit purity.
On the nose, the Langhe Nebbiolo 2023 displays ripe red fruit aromas of cherry and raspberry, complemented by subtle herbal notes that add complexity. On the palate, the wine is harmonious and well-balanced, with lively acidity enhancing the fruit’s sweetness. The tannins are soft and silky, providing structure and a long, refined finish. This wine perfectly embodies Isacco Costamagna’s philosophy of simplicity, elegance, and respect for the land.
An inviting wine, ideal both for those seeking a Nebbiolo ready to drink and for those looking for a nuanced, expressive experience.
