Description

Gavi “Bruno Broglia” 2018 Broglia

Gavi DOCG “Bruno Broglia” is the flagship white wine from Broglia and a tribute to the founder of the estate. It is made from 100% Cortese grapes sourced from the oldest vineyards planted in 1953 and 1955 on the La Meirana estate, located in the Comune di Gavi.

The low yields (30–40 quintals per hectare), combined with meticulous hand harvesting in wooden crates, ensure that only pristine grapes reach the presses. The wine is vinified entirely in stainless steel at controlled temperatures, preserving the natural freshness, richness, and acidity of the Cortese grape, making it suitable for long-term aging.

In the glass, it displays an intense straw-yellow color with greenish reflections. The bouquet is fine, fruity, and persistent, while the palate is soft, balanced, with a distinctive mentholated note and a long, refined finish.

Highly acclaimed both nationally and internationally, Bruno Broglia was served as the only white wine at the G20 Gala Dinner in St. Petersburg in 2013, a testament to its prestige. Best enjoyed with shellfish, refined seafood dishes, and Mediterranean haute cuisine.

Known for combining tradition and innovation, the Broglia family has brought the Cortese grape to new heights, thanks to partnerships with renowned enologist Donato Lanati and leading Italian universities. Stainless steel vinification, vineyard precision, and a dedication to quality make Broglia a reference point in Italian white winemaking.
