Erbaluce di Caluso Spumante 2013 Tenuta Roletto
The Erbaluce di Caluso Sparkling 2013 Traditional Method by Tenuta Roletto is a refined and long-aged expression of this historic Piedmontese grape, known for its natural acidity, tension and versatility. The choice of the Traditional Method enhances its structure and aging potential, resulting in a sparkling wine of remarkable character.
The grapes are grown in the morenic hills of Canavese, at حوالي 370 meters above sea level, on stony, acidic soils that promote freshness and aromatic complexity. Vines are trained using the traditional Pergola Canavesana system, ensuring balanced growth and optimal fruit quality.
Winemaking begins with white vinification and fermentation at a controlled temperature of 16°C, followed by an initial aging in stainless steel on lees for five months, building structure and aromatic depth. The second fermentation takes place in bottle, according to the Traditional Method, with an extended 60-month lees aging, a key factor in developing complexity and finesse.
In the glass, it displays a bright straw yellow color, with a fine and persistent mousse and a delicate, continuous perlage. The nose is elegant and layered, featuring mineral and fresh notes, alongside aromas of yeast, bread crust and subtle evolution nuances.
On the palate, it is creamy and well-structured, with finely integrated bubbles. The hallmark acidity of Erbaluce provides energy, freshness and precision, leading to a long, savory and vibrant finish.
Highly versatile, it pairs beautifully throughout the meal: excellent as an aperitif, it matches perfectly with seafood, shellfish and Japanese cuisine (sashimi), while also offering flexibility for more creative pairings.
A sparkling wine that combines tradition, terroir and technical precision, showcasing the full potential of Erbaluce in a long-aged, complex style.
