Dolcetto d'Alba 2022 Cascina Fontana

Cascina Fontana's Dolcetto d'Alba 2022 is a red wine made from 100% Dolcetto grapes grown in the winery's vineyards located in the heart of the Langhe, in the province of Cuneo. The grapes come from vineyards about 55 years old grown using organic farming techniques and harvested by hand.

In the winery, after a maceration of the skins for about 10 days, the wine matures for 5 months in stainless steel. The result is an elegant Dolcetto, deep ruby red in color with violet hues. The nose opens with notes of red fruits, such as raspberry and blackberry, accompanied by floral sensations of violets. In the mouth it is dry, fresh, with soft tannins and good acidity that balances its structure. Persistent finish on fruity notes.

A versatile Dolcetto d'Alba, perfect with hearty pasta dishes, cured meats and unripened cheeses. Great to drink young to appreciate its freshness, it pairs perfectly with dinner with friends. The Dolcetto grape variety and Langhe terroir give this wine character and authenticity.
