Renato Fenocchio's Barbaresco is a wine produced in the Barbaresco area in Piedmont, Italy. The area is famous for producing wines made from Nebbiolo grapes, which are grown on limestone and clay soils.
The grapes used to produce Renato Fenocchio's Barbaresco come from vineyards located at an altitude between 200 and 300 meters above sea level. The vines are cultivated according to organic farming principles, with manual tillage and limited yields to obtain high-quality grapes.
Vinification of Renato Fenocchio's Barbaresco involves spontaneous fermentation with indigenous yeasts and prolonged maceration of the skins to extract maximum aromas and tannins. The wine is then aged in oak barrels for at least 24 months before bottling.
Renato Fenocchio's Barbaresco is characterized by a deep garnet red color and a complex, enveloping bouquet, with notes of ripe red fruit, spices, and a hint of tobacco and leather. In the mouth it is structured and powerful, with well-presented tannins and a long aromatic persistence. This is a wine of great personality and elegance, ideal with red meat dishes, game and aged cheeses.
