Adonis Pineau D'Aunis 2018 Guettier

Adonis Pineau D'Aunis 2018 is a natural wine from the Loire Valley produced by Guettier. It is made from pure Pineau d'Aunis from 30-40 year old vines grown according to biodynamic farming principles. Pinot d'Aunis is an ancient autochthonous grape of Loire Valley which was recovered thanks to the work of some vintners in the 1990's, which gives life to pleasingly simple and fruity wines. The must macerates with stems in open vat for about fifteen days, after which it is racked and aged for one year in old 228 liter barriques. It is subsequently racked and bottled, without added sulfites. This Pinot D'Aunis by Guettier shows an intense ruby red color with a pleasing nose of rose, cinchona and hints of underbrush for an elegant and direct sip, fresh and vertical.

Renaud Guettier is a young vigneron of Loire, visionary and non-conformist who decided to make wine from old vineyards of Chenin Blanc, Groleau, Gamay and Pinot d'Aunis, all autochthonous vines of the region. His production follows principles of biodynamic agriculture, few interventions and long aging in old wood, in order to obtain authentic and territorial bottles.
