Champagne Grande Réserve Brut Gosset
The Gosset Champagne Grande Réserve Brut is the very soul of the oldest Champagne House, founded in Aÿ in 1584. For over three decades, this cuvée has embodied Gosset’s signature style: freshness, elegance and complexity, the result of centuries of tradition and the savoir-faire of 14 generations.
This classic blend features a majority of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, complemented by a touch of Pinot Meunier, sourced from renowned crus such as Aÿ, Bouzy, Ambonnay, Le Mesnil-sur-Oger and Villers-Marmery. Each grape variety and parcel is vinified separately in stainless steel at controlled temperatures. The base wines are aged on their lees for several months without undergoing malolactic fermentation, preserving freshness and varietal purity. The vins clairs are then carefully blended to achieve balance before secondary fermentation in the bottle. The Champagne is aged on the lees for at least 36 months, followed by an additional six months of rest in the cellars after disgorgement.
In the glass, it shines a brilliant golden yellow with fine, persistent bubbles. The bouquet is generous and layered, offering aromas of ripe yellow fruits such as peach and mirabelle, white flowers like orange blossom and hawthorn, citrus peel, pineapple and delicate pastry notes. Hints of dried fruit, pain d’épices and cereals add depth and complexity.
On the palate, the Grande Réserve reveals creamy finesse and round elegance, supported by vibrant freshness and chalky minerality. Its aromatic profile is rich yet harmonious, leading to a long, persistent and sapid finish that recalls the fruity and spicy notes perceived on the nose.
Versatile and refined, this Champagne is perfect for both celebratory moments and fine dining, pairing beautifully with seafood, shellfish, white meats and haute cuisine dishes. With its balance, depth and elegance, the Grande Réserve Brut Gosset is the quintessential ambassador of the Maison’s timeless style, captivating seasoned connoisseurs and newcomers alike.
