Champagne Brut Grande Réserve Dehours
The Champagne Brut Grande Réserve Dehours is the signature cuvée of Domaine Dehours, a family-run estate located in the Marne Valley, one of the most emblematic terroirs of Champagne. The domaine follows a philosophy rooted in sustainability and biodiversity, with natural grass cover between the rows, mechanical soil work and minimal intervention in the vineyard. This artisanal approach highlights the expressive character of the Meunier grape, a variety strongly linked to the identity of the region.
The cuvée is composed mainly of Meunier, complemented by small amounts of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, and includes a significant proportion of reserve wines from the Perpetual Reserve initiated in 1998, enriched every year with new vintages. This method brings a unique aromatic depth, blending youthful freshness with layered complexity. Full malolactic fermentation enhances the wine’s creamy texture and balance.
Maturation lasts 15 to 27 months on the lees, with disgorgement dates and dosage (ranging from 2.5 g/l to 6 g/l) clearly indicated on the back label. The result is an elegant and vibrant Brut Champagne, perfectly reflecting its terroir.
In the glass, it displays a bright golden hue with fine and persistent bubbles. The bouquet reveals aromas of ripe yellow fruit, candied citrus, floral hints and subtle spices, along with touches of brioche and bread crust from the lees ageing. On the palate, it is fresh yet full-bodied, with remarkable balance, creamy structure, and a refined minerality that extends the finish.
The Champagne Brut Grande Réserve Dehours is ideal as a sophisticated aperitif, but it also shines at the table with seafood, shellfish, sushi, poultry and soft cheeses. It embodies both tradition and innovation, making it one of the most representative expressions of the Marne Valley and a must-have for Champagne lovers.
