DEHOURS

DEHOURS Grandi BottiglieDomaine Dehours, unconventional Champagne

The Domaine Dehours is located in Cerseuil, in the Marne Valley, and consists of about 14 hectares fragmented into 42 plots scattered between the areas of Mareuil le Port, Oeuilly and Troissy. The different terroirs, the different exposures and ages of the vines etc... give the possibility to offer a very varied range of champagnes.

Now in its third family generation, after his grandfather started the company in the 1930s and was one of the first independent vignerons in the area, followed by his father, Jerome has been running the Domaine since 1996, using unconventional methods that respect the terroir and prohibit the use of any kind of chemical substances in the vineyard or in the cellar. The main grape variety cultivated is Pinot Meunier, which is able to express, through Jerome's skilful hands, a finesse and elegance difficult to find elsewhere.

The collector's cuvées are the result of parcel winemaking, i.e. using grapes from the best hectares of vines. After harvesting, the estate's grapes are fermented and then aged in oak barrels and bottled without filtering, in order to preserve their natural characteristics.
