Barolo Cerequio 2019 Vietti
The Cerequio cru, located in the La Morra area, is one of the most celebrated in Barolo. A natural amphitheater facing southeast, its limestone and sandy soils contribute to wines known for their refined aromatics and silky tannins. Vietti’s Barolo Cerequio embodies the soul of this terroir, with a style that is both classic and seductive.
Made from old-vine Nebbiolo, the wine undergoes traditional vinification, with spontaneous fermentation, extended maceration, and ageing for over 30 months in large oak barrels.
The bouquet is deep and nuanced, with notes of rose petals, lavender, red cherries, white pepper, licorice, and a touch of menthol. The palate is structured yet graceful, showing vibrant minerality, well-integrated tannins, and a long, persistent finish.
This is a collectable Barolo, ideal for cellaring and pairing with game, braised meats, or dishes with white truffle.
