The Jermann Vintage Tunina 2020 is a full-bodied and refined white wine from the Collio region, crafted from a blend of Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Malvasia Istriana, Ribolla Gialla, and Picolit. Renowned as one of Friuli’s most prestigious whites, it showcases elegance, complexity, and the unique character of its terroir.
The grapes come from vineyards trained in the traditional “capuccina” system on ponca soils of marl and sandstone. Fermentation occurs in stainless steel tanks, while part of the wine matures in large Austrian oak casks (60-80 hl), enhancing structure and aromatic depth.
In the glass, it shows a brilliant straw yellow color with golden reflections. The nose is expressive and complex, revealing wildflowers, citrus, peach, exotic fruits, orange blossom, with subtle hints of saffron, honey, and minerality. On the palate, it is refined, silky, sapid, and well-balanced, with a compact structure and a long, enveloping finish.
Vintage Tunina 2020 pairs perfectly with elaborate seafood dishes, shellfish, grilled or stewed fish, and soft cheeses. It is a white wine that embodies the passion and innovation of the Jermann family, uniting Friulian tradition and modern winemaking in an unforgettable expression.
