Vino Rosso “Pionda” Crealto
Pionda is an expressive and artisanal red wine crafted by Crealto from 30-year-old vineyards in Alfiano Natta. It reflects the character of the local grape variety—left unspecified on the label but clearly identifiable through its aromatic profile and tannic structure.
Fermentation begins with a 20-day maceration in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks. The wine then matures for 12 months in 225-liter French oak barriques, followed by 6 months of bottle aging. This approach enhances complexity while maintaining freshness and drinkability.
In the glass, Pionda shows a bright color and the typical texture of a medium-bodied red. The bouquet is refined and fragrant, with nuances reminiscent of mountain Nebbiolo–style wines: red berries, dried flowers, subtle spices and a touch of minerality.
On the palate, it reveals more structure than expected, offering a firm tannic backbone, balanced by vibrant acidity. The finish is clean, dry and persistent, with lingering fruity and herbal notes.
