Vino Rosso “Barabba” 2019 Cascina Iuli
The “Barabba” 2019 by Cascina Iuli embodies the revival of Monferrato, a region that has long remained in the background but is now reclaiming its voice through wines of purity and distinction. Its name, a play on “Barbera”, symbolizes a second chance—both for the grape and for this historic land.
The grapes come from old vineyards planted between 1930 and 1935 in the Scandoletto and Arian crus, at about 350 meters above sea level. Fermentation takes place naturally in cement tanks with indigenous yeasts, followed by a 24-month maturation in large oak barrels (21 hl) and another six months in bottle. No fining, no filtration—just the genuine soul of Monferrato in every sip.
In the glass, it shows intense red hues and aromas of ripe red fruit, gentle spices, and mineral undertones. The palate is balanced and persistent, with the vibrancy and depth that make it ideal with red meats, game, and roasted dishes.
A red wine that reflects the vision and dedication of Fabrizio Iuli, a winemaker deeply connected to his land.
