Description

Cantine Colosi Mar’é 2022

The Mar’é 2022 expresses the harmony between the freshness of Inzolia and the minerality of Catarratto, reflecting the unique character of Sicilian terroir. The grapes are grown on clay soils in Sciacca (AG) and Salemi (TP), trained with the Guyot system for optimal ripening.

Harvested in the second ten days of September, the grapes are gently pressed to preserve aromatic freshness. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperature for 10-12 days, followed by 3 months in steel and 2 months in bottle to develop structure and harmony.

In the glass, the wine is straw-yellow with greenish reflections. Aromas of white flowers, yellow-fleshed fruit, and green tea lead to a fresh, mineral, fruity and persistent palate, making it perfect for aperitifs and seafood dishes. Mar’é 2022 is an elegant and versatile Sicilian white, ideal for modern, characterful wine lovers.

CANTINE COLOSI

Colosi Winery, located on Salina, in the heart of the Aeolian Islands, has been producing unique wines for over 40 years, capturing the essence of the territory through light, wind, and sea. With 10 hectares of terraced vineyards on volcanic soils, the estate cultivates only native Sicilian and Aeolian grape varieties, including Malvasia, Inzolia, Catarratto, Nero d’Avola, Nerello Mascalese, and Corinto Nero. Colosi wines – whites, reds, rosés, and passito – express the typicity, freshness, and minerality of the volcanic terroir while respecting local winemaking traditions and the environment. The winery, immersed in the vineyards, ensures optimal fermentation and natural aging.
