The Bastianich Vespa Rosso 2014 is a full-bodied and structured red wine that perfectly balances power and elegance. Crafted from a blend of Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, and Refosco dal Peduncolo Rosso, the grapes are carefully selected during harvest to ensure optimal ripeness and quality.
The wine undergoes 18 months of ageing in barriques, developing complex aromas with tertiary notes that complement the ripe red fruit character. After bottling, Vespa Rosso can further evolve for 4-5 years, showcasing its longevity and refinement.
In the glass, it displays an intense ruby red color with garnet hues. The nose is broad and expressive, with notes of red fruits in jam, noble woods, tobacco, ethereal hints, and sweet spices. On the palate, it is smooth, velvety, and enveloping, with well-integrated tannins and a persistent, spicy finish.
