Sancerre 2023 Magnum Domaine Vacheron
The Sancerre from Domaine Vacheron is a refined and archetypal white wine that captures the essence of the Loire’s most famous appellation. Made entirely from biodynamically farmed Sauvignon blanc, it showcases the precision, elegance, and minerality that define the region’s finest wines.
Vacheron is one of the most esteemed producers in Sancerre, with a family history dating back over a century. Their approach blends traditional savoir-faire with biodynamic viticulture, allowing the diverse terroirs of their estate to fully express themselves. This cuvée is made from a selection of parcels with predominantly limestone and silex soils, fermented in stainless steel tanks and aged 6 months on the fine lees to retain aromatic purity and vibrant freshness.
In the glass, it shines pale straw yellow with green reflections. The bouquet is subtle and complex, delivering grapefruit zest, white fruit, fresh herbs, and a touch of flint. On the palate, it is clean, saline, and focused, with bright acidity and a long, mineral finish.
