VACHERON
Domaine Vacheron stands among the most prestigious names in the Sancerre appellation, located in the heart of France’s Loire Valley. Established in the early 1900s, it is today run by the fourth generation of the Vacheron family: Jean-Dominique and Jean-Laurent, alongside their fathers Jean-Louis and Denis. The domaine manages 48 hectares of vineyards, all farmed using certified biodynamic practices since 2005.
Driven by a profound respect for the land and a vision focused on purity and precision, Domaine Vacheron has adopted a parcel-based vinification model, inspired by Burgundy. This approach emphasizes the microclimatic and geological diversity of Sancerre’s soils—limestone, clay, and silex—creating wines with strong individual character.
The domaine’s own vine nursery allows for strict selection of plant material and precise vineyard adaptation. All viticultural and vinification processes are carried out with utmost care, emphasizing native yeasts, spontaneous fermentations, and minimal intervention to preserve each site’s authenticity.
Domaine Vacheron wines are known for their finesse, verticality, and distinctive minerality. From regional blends to iconic single-vineyard expressions like Les Romains, Guigne-Chèvres, and Chambrates, they offer a panoramic view of Sancerre’s complexity and elegance.
Situated in the central vineyards of the Loire, Sancerre benefits from a cool, continental climate tempered by the nearby river. Here, Sauvignon blanc thrives, delivering wines with bright citrus notes, herbal nuances, and a vibrant saline finish that defines the best whites of the region.
