Saint-Romain "En Chevrot" 2020 Petit Roy
The Saint-Romain En Chevrot by Petit Roy is an authentic expression of Chardonnay from the clayey and limestone fields of the lieu-dit in Saint-Romain. This wine is the result of meticulous vinification and artisanal care, which enhances its terroir and organoleptic characteristics to the fullest.
The strong limestone terroir where the vines grow gives the wine a mineral structure and complexity that make it truly unique. The vineyard is located on a steep slope at high altitude, adjacent to Auxay-Duress, in a privileged position in the Côtes de France, renowned for the production of high-quality white wines.
Chardonnay grapes are harvested from these precious lands and undergo natural fermentation with wild yeasts. Subsequently, the wine is aged for 12 months in old oak barrels and an additional 3 months in stainless steel tanks. This process gives the wine a unique complexity and depth.
With a bright golden color with green hues, the Saint Romain En Chevrot releases an intense aromatic bouquet, characterized by notes of ripe citrus, hassaku, yellow apple, and fresh quince.
