The Saint Joseph Rouge 2019 from domaine Jean Louis Chave is a fine wine produced from vines of varying ages, some of which are up to 120 years old, and from 100% Syrah grapes from several parcels including Tournon, Dardouelle, Les Oliviers, Mauves, St-Jean-de-Muzols and Lemps, each with different characteristics that are evident in the wine.

Traditional vinification involves spontaneous fermentation in wooden barrels followed by maturation in barriques for 18 months.

Ruby red in colour with purple highlights, the 2019 Saint Joseph Rouge from Domaine Jean-Louis Chave expresses a mouth-watering and elegant nose of cherry and plum and floral and herbaceous hints. In the mouth we find red fruit, evident mineral notes and spice, for an intense and balanced sip.
