Saint-Aubin 1er Cru En Remilly 2018 Hubert Lamy
This Saint Aubin 1er Cru En Remilly is another sublime label produced by Hubert Lamy. It is made from 100% Chardonnay grapes coming from steep hillsides facing south, on poor and shallow soils with limestone.
After a long spontaneous fermentation with indigenous yeasts, the wine is aged for 12 months in 300L and 600L oak casks (0-5% new), followed by 6-12 months of assemblage in tanks.
The 2018 Saint Aubin 1er Cru En Remilly shows a beautiful intense straw yellow color, while the nose offers a fresh and very mineral bouquet, enriched by hints of yellow fruit such as apple and smoky notes. The sip is balanced between structure and crispness which is especially evident in the finish, long and persistent.
