Scarbolo is a boutique family winery established in 1982 and now run by its third generation. Located in Friuli, northeastern Italy, between the Alps and the Adriatic Sea, the estate focuses on showcasing the unique quality of local white wines, with a particular dedication to Pinot Grigio, a varietal often overlooked. Valter Scarbolo’s philosophy blends innovation, precision, and creativity, while celebrating the elegance, persistence, and balance inherent to the Friulian terroir. Vines are planted in stratified soils of clay, sand, limestone, and gravel, cultivated according to SQNPI sustainability practices, benefiting from a unique combination of eastern winds, sea breezes, and Alpine protection, which together create wines of power, grace, and harmony.

Led today by Lara and Mattia Scarbolo, the winery continues its family legacy with energy and integrity. About 200,000 bottles are produced annually, including four versions of Pinot Grigio (two ramato), the co-fermented white blend My Time, an appassimento Merlot, and the flagship Campo del Viotto Refosco, a true expression of the family’s mastery.
