Palladino's Barolo

Palladino is a family-run company located in Serralunga d’Alba, in the heart of the Langhe. Here Piero Palladino spent his childhood and graduated from the oenological institute, but after embarking on a career in another sector, he decided to devote himself to his passion, that is, wine and in 1974, he bought a winery in Serralunga, together with his cousin Maurilio.

 

The company philosophy combines dynamic spirit and innovation with tradition and the link with the territory. The estate includes 11 hectares of vineyards, scattered within different Langhe denominations. Among these, the renowned labels of Barolo San Bernardo, Parafada, Ornato and, of course, Serralunga d’Alba stand out. The grapes grown are all auctone and alongside the absolute protagonist that is Nebbiolo, there are other regional varieties such as Barbera, Dolcetto, Moscato, Cortese and Arneis.

 

The subsoil is characterized by a layer composed of clay and limestone, typical of this part of Piedmont. Both in the vineyard and in the cellar, the aim is to enhance the individual characteristics of each parcel, focusing on quality.
