The Gavi del Comune di Gavi 2024 is made from 100% Cortese grapes, grown exclusively within the Comune di Gavi. Palladino’s vineyards are situated at an altitude of 350–450 m above sea level, with south/south-west exposure on sandy soils, which give the wine its characteristic freshness and minerality. The total vineyard area is 6.8 hectares, trained with simple Guyot, yielding 9,500 kg/ha, reflecting meticulous viticulture focused on quality. The harvest is entirely manual, ensuring only the best grapes are selected to preserve aromatic purity.
Winemaking follows traditional methods aimed at enhancing the wine’s freshness and drinkability, hallmarks of Palladino’s Gavi. The wine presents a fruity and floral bouquet with subtle mineral notes. On the palate, it is dry, elegant, with balanced acidity and a delicately almonded finish, making it ideal for pairing with Ligurian and Piedmontese cuisine.
Recommended pairings include appetizers, light first courses, and seafood, especially shellfish. It also pairs well with mild cheeses, highlighting its elegance and versatility at the table.
