MOSNEL
Mosnel – Franciacorta’s Organic Precision
Mosnel is a name that stands tall in the world of Franciacorta—a benchmark producer that has shaped the history of Italian sparkling wine with grace, consistency, and a forward-thinking spirit. Located in Passirano, the estate has been owned by the Barzanò family for five generations, and today leads the region with its commitment to certified organic viticulture and meticulous cellar practices.
Covering about 40 hectares of vineyards, Mosnel cultivates Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Blanc, carefully mapped and managed to bring out the best of the Franciacorta terroir. The soils are a mix of limestone and clay, while the proximity to Lake Iseo ensures a perfect climate for producing wines of structure and finesse.
The grapes are hand-picked and vinified by parcel, then blended with precision to create cuvées that age for long periods on the lees. Wines like Mosnel Brut, Satèn, Pas Dosé, and the millesimati express clarity, elegance and minerality, while limited releases like the Parosé 2007 Riedition 2023 offer collectors a rare glimpse into the aging potential of Franciacorta.
With a style that is clean, harmonious and deeply expressive, Mosnel has become a flagship of Italian metodo classico, offering wines that are equally suited for celebrations and thoughtful tasting experiences.
