ERIC TEXIER

Eric Texier Grandi BottiglieEric Texier, master of the Rhone Valley

Eric Texier's story is very interesting: graduated in engineering, without any family business and uniquely driven by the passion for wine, he decided to travel France in order to study the work of winemakers, in particular in Bourgogne. At the end of his apprenticeship Eric bought a small vineyard in the north of Côtes-du-Rhône, and today he is one of the wine reference points of Rhône Valley.

From the many vineyards Texier owns between Bourgogne and Rhône, are produced pure and very expressive wines, resulting from a great attention for every step of the production which starts from hand harvesting of grapes, destemming, adding CO2 to avoid oxidation and to favor aromatic extraction, soft pressing and spontaneous fermentation in open wooden or steel containers, according to the vintages. Red wines are aged in used oak barrels of different sizes. Bottling is then done without any filtration.

Eric Texier's range offers exceptional wines, capable of telling in an authentic way the terroir of northern Rhône Valley, an area mainly known for the production of Syrah as well as white wines made of Viognier, Marsanne, Roussane.
