Cellagrande is one of the most captivating wine producers in Northern Piedmont, located in the dramatic alpine village of Carema, near the border with Valle d’Aosta. The winery’s mission is to honor the native Picotendro Nebbiolo, which finds here one of its most elegant and age-worthy expressions.

The vineyards are set in a landscape of steep terraced slopes, supported by traditional dry-stone walls and high pergolas, a method that allows optimal sun exposure in a cool, alpine climate. These terraces are not just visually stunning — they’re essential to crafting wines of minerality, finesse, and vertical structure.

Cellagrande follows a philosophy of low intervention and traditional methods: hand harvesting, spontaneous fermentations, aging in large oak casks, and minimal handling in the cellar.
