Description

Ploussard Vin de France 2018 Tony Bornard

Tony Bornard's Ploussard is a light and juicy red wine, perfect to drink in almost every moment of the day. It is light in alcohol like many red wines from the Jura region, but has the characteristic deep flavor derived from the complex marl soils that are a hallmark of this area. Tony thinks that drinking this wine will "open your mind" (ouvre L'esprit). Ploussard is a grape variety native to the Jura region and in particular thrives in the soils around the village of Pupillin, where both Tony and his father Philippe live. Le vin de Ploussard 2018 expresses a very clear and light ruby red color to the eye, while the nose offers aromas of red fruits and flowers with all the elegance of spices with the addition of carbonic maceration to give further complexity. To the palate the tannins are fine and integrated, mineral part in evidence and return of fruit. A simple and easy to drink wine, to be enjoyed in every moment of the day.
