Pampaneo Natural Airén Ecologico 2020 Esencia Rural
Pampaneo Natural Airén Ecologico 2020 is a Spanish white wine produced using natural methods by the Esencia Rural winery. It is made from 100% Airén grapes, which are hand-picked from bush-trained vines that are over 100 years old and grown using biodynamic methods, without chemicals. Vinification takes place spontaneously in stainless steel tanks without the addition of yeasts or sulphites, with maceration on the skins for 4 months.
The wine then matures in the open air in terracotta amphorae for a few months, before being bottled without clarification, without filtration and without the addition of sulphites. The result is a macerated wine of incredible structure and personality: the Pampaneo natural Airèn of Esencia Rural expresses itself in the glass with an orange-yellow colour with deeper reflections.
The nose offers a complex bouquet of aromatic herbs and Mediterranean spices that blend with jammy fruit and citrus notes that then give way to volatile, oxidative notes and mineral sensations. The taste is lively and very fresh and mineral, balanced by a remarkable structure and very long persistence where we find the balsamic and Mediterranean spices and herbs.
