Nebbiolo Coste della Sesia 2018 Antoniotti
The Nebbiolo Coste della Sesia 2018 from Antoniotti is an authentic expression of Piedmont’s northern hills, blending Nebbiolo’s finesse with the rustic charm of Alto Piemonte. Made primarily from Nebbiolo grapes with a small addition of Croatina, it comes from vineyards rooted in one of Italy’s most historic and distinctive wine regions, where the Antoniotti family has cultivated vines since 1861 — the same year Italy was unified.
Today, Odilio and Mattia Antoniotti carry on this long legacy with a deep respect for tradition and the environment. In the vineyard, only copper and sulfur are used, while in the cellar spontaneous fermentations take place in stainless steel, followed by 12 months of aging in large oak barrels, in perfect harmony with Piedmontese winemaking heritage.
In the glass, the wine shines with a pale garnet red color. The bouquet is complex and territorial, offering violet and ripe cherry aromas, followed by orange zest, licorice, and cinnamon. On the palate, it is vibrant, mineral, and fresh, supported by fine-grained tannins and a long, elegant finish.
The Antoniotti Coste della Sesia Nebbiolo combines depth with drinkability, reflecting the natural grace of the grape and the personality of the terroir. It is a wine that rewards both immediate enjoyment and cellaring, revealing increasing layers of complexity over time.
Ideal with roast meats, aged cheeses, risotto with truffle, or traditional Piedmontese cuisine, this Nebbiolo is a genuine ambassador of its land — a story in a bottle, crafted by a family whose roots run as deep as their vines.
