The Alta Langa Pas Dosé Millesimato by Contratto is a stunning example of elegance and finesse, paying homage to the first Italian vintage sparkling wine produced by the winery back in 1919. It is a Metodo Classico of remarkable balance, showcasing the savoir-faire of one of Italy’s most historic sparkling wine producers.
Made from 80% Pinot Noir and 20% Chardonnay, grown at an altitude of 650 meters on sandy and marine-rich soils, this Alta Langa is crafted with utmost precision. After the first fermentation in stainless steel, the wine undergoes secondary fermentation in bottle, according to the Metodo Classico tradition, and is aged 36 months on the lees, gaining depth, structure, and aromatic complexity.
In the glass, it displays a bright straw-yellow color with a fine and persistent perlage. The bouquet opens with fresh citrus, grapefruit, toasted hazelnut, bread crust, and light mineral notes. On the palate, it is delicate yet structured, balancing freshness with smoothness, and finishing long and clean.
