Franz Haas Moscato Giallo 2020

The 2020 Moscato Giallo by Franz Haas is a remarkable expression of this aromatic Alto Adige variety. The grapes grow in vineyards located between 400 and 450 meters above sea level, facing south/south-west and west, on sandy and clay soils that impart minerality and structure to the wine.

After a short cold maceration to enhance aromatic extraction, the destemmed grapes are gently pressed, and the must ferments at controlled temperatures. The wine then matures for about five months on its lees in stainless steel tanks, emphasizing its aromatic complexity and crisp freshness.

Visually, the wine shows a bright golden-yellow hue, while the nose is intense and refined, with aromas of citrus, white peach, elderflower, and lemon balm, accented by subtle nutmeg notes. The palate is marked by vibrant acidity balanced by mineral structure, delivering freshness and drinkability.
