Meursault 1er Cru Genevrières 2014 Antoine Jobard
Meursault 1er Cru Genevrieres is a fine white wine produced in the Burgundy region of France by Antoine Jobard. It is a wine that comes from an exceptional terroir, located in the premiers crus area of Meursault.
The vinification of this wine begins with the manual harvesting of the grapes, which are then gently pressed to obtain the must. After alcoholic fermentation, which takes place in French oak barrels, the wine is left to mature for about 12 months on the fine lees.
The result is a wine of great elegance, with an intense and complex aromatic profile. The nose reveals notes of yellow-fleshed fruit, such as peach and apricot, together with aromas of butter, hazelnut and a delicate citrus note. In the mouth, it is a wine of great balance, with a marked acidity that accentuates its freshness and liveliness. The structure is important, but well integrated, with a long and persistent finish that again recalls the hints of fruit and butter.
Antoine Jobard Meursault 1er Cru Genevrieres is a wine that lends itself well to ageing, thanks to its structure and complexity. However, it can already be enjoyed at a young age, especially when paired with fish or shellfish dishes, or medium-aged cheeses. Its freshness also makes it an excellent aperitif wine.
