Marsala Superiore Oro “Vigna la Miccia” 2016 – De Bartoli
The Marsala Superiore Oro “Vigna la Miccia” 2016 represents the pinnacle of innovation and craftsmanship from De Bartoli, a historic Marsala winery that combines tradition and modern techniques. This wine is produced from 100% Grillo grapes, planted at 3,500 vines per hectare in the renowned Samperi district, with Guyot-trained vines whose roots draw nutrients from the rich Sicilian soil.
Harvested by hand, the grapes undergo gentle pressing, natural sedimentation, and cold fermentation in stainless steel with indigenous yeasts, preserving delicate fruit and floral notes while avoiding excessive oxidation. Aging takes place in new French oak barrels, always kept full, resulting in a wine with complex aromas of honey, dried fruits, candied orange peel, and subtle spices.
The Vigna la Miccia is versatile and expressive: enjoy slightly chilled or at room temperature, paired with pumpkin tortelli, soft and blue cheeses, foie gras, prawns, or as a dessert wine. Limited production ensures that each bottle is a true reflection of De Bartoli’s terroir-driven philosophy, where heritage meets modern elegance.
