Mâcon-Péronné “Les As” 2024 Domaine Aimé Blouzard
In the heart of the Mâconnais, in Péronne, Domaine Aimé Blouzard under Rémi Desmaris works on a small-scale, parcel-driven philosophy focused on precision and terroir expression. The Mâcon-Péronné “Les As” 2024 is the most ambitious expression of the estate’s Chardonnay, sourced from the best-exposed vineyard parcel, where grapes achieve optimal ripeness and greater aromatic concentration.
Winemaking is carefully designed to enhance depth while preserving identity. Fermentation takes place spontaneously with indigenous yeasts, while ageing in oak barrels for around one year builds structure, volume and aromatic complexity without overpowering the fruit. The oak is used as a framing element rather than a dominant character.
In the glass, the wine shows a bright golden colour. The nose is layered and expressive, revealing vanilla, salted butter and cedar notes, intertwined with iodised and saline nuances typical of the most expressive Mâcon terroirs.
On the palate, the entry is smooth, rounded and generous, almost creamy at first, before evolving into a more vertical and energetic profile. Freshness quickly takes over, supported by a clear mineral and saline tension that drives length and precision. The finish is long, vibrant and persistent, echoing citrus and subtle lactic tones.
“Les As” 2024 is a Chardonnay built on the balance between richness and tension, ideal for those seeking a more structured Mâcon while preserving freshness and drinkability. It pairs beautifully with shellfish, rich fish dishes, white meats and soft cheeses.
