LANGHE SITO MORESCO 2020 GAJA
Sito Moresco by Gaja is a dry red wine of great elegance and modern character, born from Angelo Gaja’s desire to reinterpret the Langhe through an international lens. First produced in the 1990s, the wine is named after a historic vineyard in Barbaresco once owned by the Moresco family.
This wine is a careful blend of Nebbiolo, Merlot, and Cabernet Sauvignon, fermented together to create a harmonious fusion of varietal traits. Nebbiolo lends finesse and energy, Merlot brings softness, and Cabernet adds depth and structure. The wine is aged for about 12 months in oak barrels, followed by bottle refinement.
In the glass, Sito Moresco shows a bright ruby color, with aromas of cherry, blackberry, violet, sweet spices, leather, and herbal undertones. On the palate, it is fresh, balanced, and smooth, with fine tannins and vibrant acidity that make it both food-friendly and age-worthy.
This is a wine for those who seek depth and elegance in a contemporary style, offering the drinkability of a younger red without compromising on quality. A true expression of Gaja’s pioneering spirit in blending tradition and innovation.
