La Ricolma 2014 San Giusto a Rentennano

The wine "La Ricolma" from the winery in San Giusto a Rentennano is a deep and Mediterranean Tuscan red wine, a fine interpretation of Merlot from the Chianti area. The fermentation takes place spontaneously with indigenous yeasts and a maceration period on the skins of about 15 days, after which it is aged for 22 months in French oak barriques before bottling. It shows an intense ruby red colour, with slight garnet notes. The nose offers aromas of small red fruits, citrus fruits, notes of oriental spices, aromatic herbs of the Mediterranean and balsamic hints. The sip is full-bodied, with an intense aromaticity and silky tannins.
