Grand Cru Classe Pessac-Léognan 2014 Chateau Malartic Lagraviere
Chateau Malartic Lagraviere's Grand Cru Classe Pessac-Léognan is a high quality red wine produced in the Bordeaux region of France. The grapes used for its production are mainly Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot, grown in vineyards located in the Pessac-Léognan area.
The grapes are grown using sustainable farming techniques that prioritize the preservation of biodiversity and the reduction of environmental impact. In particular, Chateau Malartic Lagraviere Estate is committed to integrated vine disease management, using only natural and organic products for plant defense.
Chateau Malartic Lagraviere's production philosophy is based on a balance between tradition and innovation, with the aim of preserving the identity and quality of the terroir. After harvesting, the grapes are gently crushed and undergo fermentation in stainless steel, with a skin maceration of about three weeks. The resulting wine is then aged in French oak barrels for about 18 months before bottling.
Chateau Malartic Lagraviere's Grand Cru Classe Pessac-Léognan has a deep ruby red color and a complex and intense aromatic bouquet, with notes of red fruits, spices, tobacco and cocoa. The palate is characterized by a great tannic structure, balanced by a pleasant softness and acid freshness, with a long aromatic persistence.
This wine is of great elegance and complexity, able to best express the character of its terroir and to represent one of the great wines of Bordeaux. It pairs beautifully with red meat dishes, game and aged cheeses. Thanks to its tannic structure, it can be aged for many years in the cellar, improving further over time.
